Have you ever heard of Scott's Flat Lake? If not, it is definitely worth a visit! Whether it's to play at the beach for a day, go kayaking, camping, or taking sailing lessons, it's definitely worth a visit!
It's a beautiful reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest of Nevada County in Northern California, just east of Nevada City. Just look at that color blue!
According to Wikipedia, the lake is at an elevation of 3,100 feet. It has a surface area of about 850 acres with 7.5 miles of beautiful shoreline. And, as previously mentioned, you can do all sorts of fun activities at the lake:
1. Camping

And last time we went camping we got some amazing views of the Milky Way:
2. Yacht Club which offers an annual regatta and summertime youth sailing
Hosted in June of every year, up to 100 boats may participate and it sure is fun to watch!

And off they go!
3. Boating: Everything from Kayaking and SUP to sailing to pontoon boats and other motorboats. Mountain Recreation offers kayak and SUP rentals and lessons.
4. Biking/running/hking:
We haven't yet achieved walking around the whole like, but we've explored a good portion of it thanks to trails around the lake.
As you can see this lake is not only beautiful, but there are so many fun activities, especially for the boating and camping enthusiast. I hope you're able to make a visit there sometime soon!
